Nguni hides have become a very desired home decor item throughout the world.

History of the Nguni People.

What we know of the Nguni people and their history is mostly the “magic” of legends. Quite literally our knowledge comes from stories shared through the ages. Traditionally it is told that the Nguni people migrated from Central Africa towards South Africa some 7000 years ago. The Nguni people then continued through South Africa to settle in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, bringing with them livestock and crops not previously seen in the area.

A Nguni sheild is a traditional weapon used by the Nguni people of southern Africa. It is made of cowhide and known as isihlanguihawu or ingubha in Zulu,and ikhaka or ikhawu in Xhosa

The Nguni Cattle are indigenous to Southern Africa and were introduced by the Nguni people. The cattle are medium in size and known for their fertility and resistance to disease.
